Treatment of Spinal Stenosis (LCS) using the DST Method (Discseel™)

60s, Male

Inquiry Contents

Patient began to feel dull pain from the buttocks to both legs around October last year. After consulting at another hospital, he was told that the only treatment was a surgical operation, due to the damage at L4/5 disc level from severe spinal stenosis.

Patient has been getting nerve block injections to treat the pain, but as it is ineffective, he is considering a different treatment. He wishes to avoid a surgery and is thus looking at the DST outpatient treatment at this hospital.

Diagnostic Imaging Results

Chief Complaint:
Pain and numbness in both sciatic nerve regions

Diagnosis:
Intervertebral disc degeneration and lumbar disc herniation combined with thickening of the yellow ligament detected at L4/5 L5/S disc levels.

Considering a strong suspicion of injury to the annulus fibrosis, he is suitable for the DST (Discseel™) Treatment with an efficacy rate of about 80% for lower back pain and 73-75% for neuropathy in the lower limbs.

Medical Condition(s): Spinal Stenosis (LCS)

Treatment Method

DST (Discseel™) Treatment at 3 disc levels.
