Post-surgery Recurrence; Lumbar Disc Herniation in 40-year-old male - Treated with the DST Method (Discseel™)
From 2015, patient has been experiencing lower back pain and numbness throughout the entire right leg.
In 2018, patient was diagnosed with lumbar disc herniation that gradually got worse.
In 2019 and 2020, patient underwent 2 surgical procedures, but the low back pain and numbness/pain throughout the right legs remained. In addition, there is a constant residual itch at the back of the right thigh.
Patient is currently treating symptoms with medication and nerve block injections, but still has limits to walking and other physical activities.
As he would like to avoid surgery, he is considering treatment at this hospital.
Diagnostic Imaging Results
Pain in lower back and left hip. Pain and numbness in entirety of right leg.
History of surgery for herniated disc.
Residual lower back pain and neuropathic pain in the right sciatic nerve region.
Lumbar disc herniation detected at L5/S disc level, accompanied by a decrease in intervertebral disc space.
Considered to be suitable for the DST (Discseel™) Treatment with an efficacy rate of about 73-80%.
