DST (Discseel™) Treatment of a Patient with Spinal Stenosis Advised Previously to Undergo Surgery

Constant severe lower back pain and numbness in the buttocks as a result of lumbar canal stenosis. When diagnosed in another hospital the patient was advised to undergo surgery.
The patient was not willing to go through a surgical operation, because of the related risks he had heard of previously and he was hoping to receive outpatient treatment in our clinic.
Diagnostic Imaging Results
Chief Complaint:
Severe low back pain and hip numbness
Diagnosis:
Overall disc degeneration of the spine, disc herniation, and lumbar canal stenosis was confirmed.
At least 4 disc levels need to be treated. DST method is applicable with an average efficacy rate of 80% for the lower back pain and a 73-78% recovery rate for the lower limb neuropathy. Specialized physical therapy for back pain is believed to be beneficial.
