Difficulty walking due to Spinal Stenosis (LCS) – Treatment of man in his 80s using the DST Method (Discseel™)
Patient experiences severe lower back pain. He has gone too several hospitals, but is currently only treating his condition with medication and conservative treatment as surgery is too risky.
However, the patient’s symptoms suddenly worsened in April this year. He suffers from all the symptoms of spinal stenosis (LCS) and has difficulty walking.
As he feels that there is no other way to get better, he hopes to receive treatment at this hospital.
Diagnostic Imaging Results
Mainly suffers from lower back pain which worsens when bending forward. Symptoms began from April this year.
Lumbar disc degeneration and lumbar disc herniation combined with partial spinal stenosis (LCS) detected at L3/4 L4/5 L5/S disc levels.
Patient is considered to be suitable for the DST treatment, but as the pain is currently spreading from the chest and back, there is a strong suspicion of additional complications such as myofascial pain syndrome.
To address this, DST (Discseel™) Treatment paired with rehabilitation at ILM is recommended. It has an efficacy rate of 80% towards lumbar back pain and a 73-75% efficacy rate in neuropathy of the lower limbs.
Medical Condition(s): Spinal Stenosis (LCS)
